We’re rolling out our national network of AmpCharge on the road chargers providing up to 150kW of power across Australia.

Whether you’re heading for the bush, the beach, or just travelling across the city, AmpCharge aims to make charging your electric vehicle (EV) seamless and simple.  

Designed with world-class technology, it’s a fast, convenient and reliable way to charge your vehicle.

Our first rollout sites will be located throughout our service station network. We’ve officially launched our first five sites, and will expand to more across Australia in the near future. So, if you find yourself in need of some extra charge on your daily drive, just pull in and plug in, and let AmpCharge power your journey. Current chargers are conveniently placed at our Ampol Foodary sites. So, you can take a break, grab a snack, a refreshment, and recharge yourself while we recharge your EV.

You’ll continue to do your part for the environment, as the energy used by our chargers is 100% offset with renewable energy certificates.*

*Net equivalent renewable energy consumption is sourced from surrendered Large-scale Generation Certificates.

Our charging rates can be found via the Ampol app for each location. We offer pay-as-you-go charging with several easy payment methods including Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, Apple Pay and Google Pay (via our Ampol app). 

We deliver secure payments via our payments processing provider platform Stripe, so your personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We’re committed to building a network of ultra-fast EV chargers across Australia, both at our service stations and in other public destinations. We've now completed the roll-out of our first destinations in NSW, VIC, QLD and WA. This initial rollout becomes the backbone, as we rapidly grow our charging network across Australia to help you get on with your journey.

Our AmpCharge on the road charging points have industry standard CCS2 and CHAdeMO connectors attached to charging connectors as required by ARENA, which are generally compatible with most EVs available in Australia. You shouldn't need to bring your own charging cable to site. However, you may need to bring your plug adapter.

Your EV should lock the connector in place once your charging session begins. Along with your EV's security features, AmpCharge on the road charging sites are placed at our well-known Ampol locations where sites are well-lit and staffed where possible.
