AmpolCard with EV charging
You can start charging as soon as your AmpolCard with EV charging is received which is approximately 1 week from approval of your application.
AmpolCards with EV charging are sent by standard Australia Post and generally take approximately 1 week to arrive following approval of your application.
Tap your AmpolCard with EV charging on a charger to start a charging session and press 'stop' on the charger screen to stop a charging session. You do not need to enter a PIN or odometer read at the charger.
However, if using your AmpolCard with EV charging to purchase Foodary in-store items, fuel or carwashes, you will need to first set up your card PIN. This can be done online via your AmpolCard Card Portal or in-store (you will be prompted to set one up on the card terminal).
AmpolCard with EV charging is accepted at all AmpCharge public charging locations. Find your nearest site with Google or Apple Maps, or check our site locator here.

For issues relating to your AmpolCard with EV charging, call AmpolCard Customer Service on 1300 365 096 (Monday to Friday, 8:30am-6pm Sydney time).
There is no limit on the number of charging sessions per day. But note that there is a daily limit on the total value of EV charging transactions of $100 per 24-hour period (resetting at 2am each day).
Unfortunately, AmpolCard with EV charging sessions will not count towards your Everyday Rewards. You can still earn points on regular and premium fuels, and shop transactions in Ampol Foodary.
You will be able to see your cards in the portal, however online functionality will be limited for your AmpolCard with EV charging. We would suggest calling AmpolCard Customer Service for assistance for card management.
Unfortunately, this functionality is not available for EV charging transactions at the moment. However, you can add your AmpolCard with EV charging as a payment option for fuel payments in the Ampol app.

Your invoiced balance will be direct debited from your nominated bank account or credit card monthly. If you are an existing AmpolCard customer for fuels, this is the same bank account you set up for direct debit on your AmpolCard account.
Each month your invoice will have a list of each EV charging transaction including the Charge Card ID, location, time, kWh, rate and transaction cost.
