You can start charging as soon as your charge card/s are received and activated, which is approximately 1 week from approval of your application. 

Charge cards are sent by standard Australia Post, approximately 1 week from approval of your application.

All charge cards arrive de-activated for security reasons while shipping. Before charging you will need to activate your charge card/s by following the instructions provided in your welcome email. 

There are over 60 AmpCharge EV charging sites across Australia that accept AmpolCard with EV charging. To locate a site by state, town or suburb, or to plan a trip via participating sites, click here.

Please follow the instructions on the EV charger. Typically, you either plug in your EV first and then scan the charge card to start, or vice versa. To finish, you can end your session by tapping your charge card again.

There is no limit to how many charging sessions you are eligible for. But note that there is a daily limit on EV charging transactions of $100 per 24-hour period (resetting at 2am each day).

Unfortunately, AmpolCard with EV charging sessions will not count towards your Everyday Rewards. You can however earn points on regular and premium fuels, and shop transactions in Ampol Foodary.

Your invoiced balance will be direct debited from your nominated bank account or credit card monthly. If you are an existing AmpolCard customer for fuels, this is the same bank account you set up for direct debit on your AmpolCard account.

Each month your invoice will have a list of each public charging transaction including the Charge Card ID, location, time, kWh, rate and transaction cost.
