Ampol App and EV Charging

The Ampol app is free to download. In-app transaction charges apply for EV charging sessions. These will be charged to your nominated in-app payment method.

You can view available AmpCharge connectors and pricing in the 'Locator' tab in the Ampol app.

You will need to download the Ampol app and nominate an in-app payment method before you can start using the AmpCharge public charging network. Our Ampol app also helps you to find your closest AmpCharge EV charging site, check live charger availability and pricing, and pay securely.

Download or log into the Ampol app, select the site you're at, and follow the steps as shown on the charger.

Unfortunately, AmpCharge public EV charging isn't eligible for Everyday Rewards.

No, you will not be able to charge your EV with an AmpCharge public EV charger if you do not have the Ampol app (unless you're an existing AmpolCard business customer with an AmpolCard with EV charging).

If you're an existing AmpolCard business customer, you can pay for AmpCharge public charging with an EV enabled AmpolCard. To pay for your charging session with your AmpolCard with EV charging, follow the steps displayed on the charger and hover your card over the reader where indicated.

Use Google or Apple Maps to find your nearest AmpCharge public charging site. Or, use our site locator via the Ampol app or our website (filter for 'AmpCharge').

View your recent charging session history in the 'Profile' tab of the Ampol app under 'Recent transactions' and toggle to 'AmpCharge'.

You can set up credit/debit card payments in the Ampol app with Visa or MasterCard, but not AMEX. You can also use Apple Pay and Google Pay.
